Adaptation camp for first and second year students
Sports competitions, student games, regional attractions, music and many surprises, all in the atmosphere of Harry Potter - an adaptation camp for first and second year students, called “Adapciak”, will take place in September in Głuchołazy.
"Adapciak" will be held from September 10th-16th, but the time to sign up is until 30th of August. The event is aimed at students who will start their studies from October this year and those who have finished their first year, as there was no integration camp last year due to the pandemic. “The main aim of the camp is to create a strong student relationship before the start of the academic year and to introduce students to functioning at the University. Therefore, we are planning, among other things, training in the rights and duties of a student. We also want to show that studies are not only about learning, but also about having a good time, especially after the long period of isolation resulting from the pandemic," says Dawid Mordarski, President of the Student Government of the Silesian University of Technology
Many different activities are planned for the trip. “You can expect sports competitions as well as student games, regional attractions and music. Of course, there will also be evening integrations. The theme will be kept in the Harry Potter theme, so also the names of our competitions and teams will refer to it. The teams will be collecting points throughout the whole trip and at the end three winners will be awarded - says Katarzyna Ptaszyńska, deputy chairperson of Student Government.
Adapacik is a chance to make friendships that can last for many years. In addition, you can meet students from older years of your department or faculty. The first day of the camp will be held in Gliwice, during which there will be an opportunity to get to know the campus of the Silesian University of Technology during a city game. The next days students will spend in Głuchołazy.
“I invite you to participate and to register for the trip quickly due to the limited number of places. In addition, we have prepared gifts for those who sign up by 23 August," concludes Dawid Mordarski.
The trip is organised by the Student Government of the Silesian University of Technology. More information can be found at Gryfno Rajza! Adapciak Politechniki Śląskiej | Facebook
