Picnic of the Silesian University of Technology for secondary school graduates

A city game, sports competitions, a climbing wall, a barbecue and cinema - these attractions will be waiting for secondary school graduates who come to the Igrowa Meadow on 5 July. There will be a Picnic of the Silesian University of Technology for secondary school graduates. It will also be an opportunity to learn more about the study offer of the University – the only one in the region with the status of a Research University.  The event will begin at 12:00. The number of places is limited.

- The main attraction of the picnic will be the City Game taking place on the Gliwice Campus, during which future students will get to know the area of the Student Campus and will be able to learn more about the offer of study programs at the Silesian University of Technology. The study offer and answers to questions related to recruitment will be presented by the staff of the Studies Service Centre and students representing the faculties they study at - says Dawid Mordarski, President of the Student Government.

The Studies Service Centre information desk will be located next to the Rector's Office and available from 12.00 to 16.00. Graduates will be able to find out/get to know about the recruitment process, the courses available, what it's like to be a student, where to eat and where to have fun.

People interested in participating in the city game must fill in an application form: https://tiny.pl/9qxw8. Applications must be sent by 04.07, at 20.00. After the City Game, a party will start at 15.00 on the Igrowa Meadow. There will be sports competitions, a climbing wall, barbecue and cinema. Detailed plan of the event:

12:00 - Official opening of the Picnic for Graduates by the University Authorities.

12:00 - 16:00 - Studies Service Centre information desk by the Rector's Office, where participants will be able to ask questions to the staff. The City Game will also end there.

12:30 - 15:30 – the City Game, during which participants will learn about the Silesian University of Technology Campus.

16:00 - 20:00 Animating time on the Igrowa Meadow:

• climbing wall,
• climbing boxes,
• thematic sports tournaments organised by Faculty Student’s Self-governments,
• collecting questions from shy people to the urn on Łąka Igrowa and in the google form available at the event.

20:00 - 21:30 – the Flank tournament.

21:30 - 01:00 - Barbecue and film screening.
